MICHELLE: CORTINA d'AMPESSO

We drove from Garmisch, Germany to spend a night in the Italian Dolomites. In spite of some rain and clouds that would cover and then uncover the amazing Dolomite peaks, we still couldn't believe how beautiful it was. Michelle and Shams rode a cable car up to the snow fields as we

explored the various passes, views of different peaks and dead end roads:) We had a very nice hotel at the edge of town and enjoyed their view, dinner and then time in the lounge playing "99" for a couple of hours:) It was hard to leave the Dolomites but our next stop was in the Venice area for 2 nights. We stopped by Aviano Air Force base on the way south and also went to the beach area east of Venice. The coast was very flat farmlands with the town of Caorle built as a resort with boardwalk and lots of shops.
