CRUISING: MIKONOS:)
Our cruise took us to the romantic Greek island of Mykonos that we have all heard about. And the stories are true. It is a small, dry speck in the sea of deep blue with the whitewashed houses and the tourquoise blue shutters...the streets are so small in the core of the little town that no cars can fit and negotiate between the numerous shops and quaint hotels. The water is crystal clear and there are small little restaurants along the water with views that are fit for postcards. There are the famous windmills along the bluff in the village and interspersed throughout the breezy isle. We had lunch along their "little Venice" waterfront with a view of the windmills, and later, a drink at a bar along the marina area, while relaxing and people watching. This would certainly be a place to return to if you wanted the serenity and peacefulness that can be found. We also took a short boat excursion to Delos, the celebrated birthplace of the Greek god, Apollo.
