CRUISING: LAKE GARDA, ITALY

After disembarking from our Costa cruise in Venice we drove to Lake Garda. We remembered Lake Garda as a flat beach area where we learned to water ski in the early 1960's at a military recreation area. The Moffats camped in olive orchards and the Rhoneys stayed in a small village nearby:)

When we joined the small, winding road along Lake Garda we saw the beautiful sight of steep hills falling into the lake and picturesque villages.... not what we expected!! It was a great drive to the north end of Lake Garda where we spent the night.

After being on a cruise with people who love to eat (all the time:)

and relax, seeing all the bikers and hikers at Lake Garda was an invigorating sight:) We had the best seafood and pasta meal of our whole trip so we definitely want to get back to this area again!
