LAST DAYS IN GERMANY 8/19-22 2013

After our Norwegian Fjord cruise, we spent our last 4 nights in Germany in the Wiesbaden/ Frankfurt Airport area. We would be leaving 8/22 for Los Angeles to pick up the BMW and see Suzanne and family in Ojai.   This was such a "Circle of Life" for us to again be in Wiesbaden where we met in High School, went to an all-class reunion in 2010 a few weeks after our arrival for Dale's job in Ansbach and had visited many times in the 3 years we were in Germany:)   The top 2 pictures are of our high school and the school crest that no one was allowed to walk on or you had to clean it with a toothbrush:)  The 4th picture is the crest of Wiesbaden.  We rode the trains to revisit the Rhine river (bottom picture) with its beautiful vineyards and the fun, touristy town of Rudesheim.... such a classic area of Germany.   We also went to Mainz to explore the Main river and the lovely town square with the typical church (3rd picture) and small shops.    We feel very blessed to have had three great years we have had in German and the other wonderful places we got to visit!!!     Now it is time for Dale to try retirement again... and hopefully he won't "flunk" it this time;)
