More Norway
We had a couple days of mist and clouds and the rest were sunny and blue....the fiords were narrow and deep with water falls everywhere, spilling down from the mountains and roaring from the volumes making their way to the sea. We left the ship for a day and went over the mountains and down to the adjacent fiord where the ship was waiting by the end of the day. The bottom photo is from a historic resort/hotel at the top of the pass....looking down the steep valley to the next fiord. The road down, which we took by bus, is the steepest in Europe --a 21% grade of narrow curves...it used to be the main road from Oslo to Bergen--rain or shine, snow and ice etc....now there is a bypass for all of the right reasons. Beautiful everywhere you looked.
