London August 2013

We flew to London during our last weeks in Europe and had a great visit. Although we had been there several times over the years, it was still wonderful to see things again and experience the history that abounds. We walked much of the first day and saw the big sights that are centrally located. Those included the Parliament, Big Ben, the Tower Bridge, Westminster Abbey and the home of the Queen, Buckingham Palace. The weather was good and the warm days only added to the visit. We stayed at the famous Grosvenor Hotel at Victoria Train Station which turned out to be a wonderfully central location from which to venture out. The subways are also real easy to use and they go almost everywhere.
