HEIDELBERG 5/10/13

Dale had a morning meeting of the Army based Orthodontists on Friday near Heidelberg. So we got up early and enjoyed a great drive to the picturesque half-timber village of Ladenburg.  We then spent the rest of the day and night in Heidelberg. It was fun to walk the streets of Heidelberg and even found a small Hard Rock Café to enjoy.  Catching glimpses of the Heidelberg castle ruin is always a special sight.   The red stone of the castle and old bridge are a famous and favorite view!  We never made it this trip to the "burning of the castle" with a light and fireworks show...but enjoyed that in the 60's when we lived in Wiesbaden:)
