EASTER AND SPRING 2013:)

Easter time and Spring are a very special in our Franconian area of Germany.   We enjoy driving to the many villages to see the "Ostern Brunnen"...Easter Fountains and decorations.  In the lovely village of Ornbau we saw a stork in its' nest and at a pond saw a swan nest:) We go to the village of Spalt often for "Floh Markt".. Flea Markets on Sundays when the stores are closed.  Spalt has a large brewery making good Spalter Beer and hop fields nearby.  The top picture is a famous, old hop barn that is still used for drying the hops.  It has been fun to collect the beer glasses and mugs for the many German beers:)
