MICHELLE: VENICE

We all spent the night in the small town of Magliano which is about 30 minutes by train north of Venice. The next day we had a perfect day of sunshine for enjoying this fabulous city of canals. We mostly walked but also road the Vaporetto, city water bus, to see the wonderful sights. From exploring St. Mark's square, shopping near the Rialto bridge, finding an off the beaten path Moreno glass shop, discovering the waterfront with sail boats and cheap sunglasses, finding a bar tucked away down an alley or just walking the narrow lanes it was an amazing day!!! The food was great... but the Nutella ice cream was the best and we haven't seen it anywhere since:) Michelle and Shams spent the night near the Rialto bridge while we left after dinner back to Magliano... they came back out the next morning after a HUGE thunder and lightning storm. As we left Italy we bought a magnum of Italian wine for later and had salami and cheese sandwiches in the car as we drove toward Salzburg, Austria....what a good life:)!!!
