DAD MOFFAT IN EUROPE:)

The last week of August we went to Rothenburg and enjoyed, as always, this wonderful medieval, walled town of the "Romantic Road" of Germany. Dad enjoyed seeing again the half-timbered homes and climbed the stairs in St. Jacobs 14C Gothic church to see Tilman Riemenschneider's carved alter. We kept passing Colmberg Castle on the way to Rothenburg and to Frankfurt for the airport but we didn't take the time to stop.... yet:) We joined the dental clinic later in the week and shared the biggest pizzas we've ever seen:) For Labor Day we flew from Frankfurt (2 hour car ride) to Copenhagen, one of Dad's favorite places. In the early 1960's Mom and Dad drove us 4 kids in the VW camper to Scandinavia. We camped near Copenhagen in a campground with each camping spot lined with liliacs that were in full bloom:) This time we stayed in the only high rise in downtown, Radisson Blu hotel, which overlooked Tivoli Gardens and was only 2 blocks from the train station. We took a harbour tour through the many canals built in 1618 and got to see the Little Mermaid too:)
