NORTH AND SOUTH CAROLINA

Leaving Germany on 9/13, a wonderful visit was had by all with my Dad seeing Dale's parents in Hickory, NC!! They would visit while we went to see the cousins and everyone was happy;) Seeing Harold and Lee sharing WWII pilot stories and bonding one more time was so special! Lea fixed us great home cooking and then we all went out for NC BBQ too;) I put Dad/Harold on the plane for Denver looking great but he ended up in the hospital with pneumonia..... we know he had a great trip but we wore him out:(

The next day Dale and I drove to his Angle Biennial Orthodontic meeting in Charleston, SC. We got to see wonderful friends from all over the country and enjoy the unique beauty of Charleston... and luckily it wasn't so very hot and humid:) We met with Bobbi Merritt Greene who graduated from Wiesbaden high school with us and had a great time catching up. Then we saw our Godchild Stephanie, Dale's cousin Rod's daughter, who is now grown-up and a mother of Larkin. Where does the time go.. but it was so special to be able to reconnect after so many years!
