COLORADO SPRINGS 10/15/13

Spending 3 weeks with Kay's family in Colorado Springs was very special and FUN, but also bittersweet since Harold, at age 92, had passed away:(  Having the siblings together to toast the parents added more special memories for everyone!  It also gave us time to rediscover Colorado and the beauty of the USA:)  Manitou Springs and other parts of Colorado had torrential rains, "biblical", and floods/landslides in September, but had made good recovery... it was fun to walk the streets and enjoy the town again.  We left COS for the mountains and ski resorts, spending time in Steamboat Springs, before joining Shirley and family in Frisco.  Steamboat was a cute village with snow on the ski runs, while warm enough for us to bike.   Most of the Aspen were over but there were enough golden trees to remind us of how beautiful Colorado is in the fall!!
