Returning from Hawaii we drove to the Palm Springs area to stay with Joan and Don Palmer in their winter home.... great friend from Lake Oswego:)  We enjoyed discovering the area, watching a "Cruise In", finding good Happy Hours (4th picture), shopping, and just relaxing!  We then drove to see the Godparents of Suzanne and Michelle... and very special friends....Debbie and Bill Underwood who winter in Scottsdale, AZ.    Wonderful friends, home, food and fun!!!  We loved the Botanical Gardens with a glass exhibit by Chihuly and then discovered the Musical Instrument Museum... amazing!!! We went to dinner at the El Chorro restaurant that we had all enjoyed with Kay's parents, Harold and Katy Moffat, years ago.... very special memories!!!  Returning to Palm Springs, we rented a condo for a week and continued to enjoy the sunshine and fun times.... had Valentine's Day at Café Italia:)  We were going out with the Palmers when it happened:  Dale fell and instead of Happy Hour we ended up at the ER.... and surgery to reattach his quadriceps muscle to his R knee cap was the diagnosis:(   So we ended our Southern California time early, went to see Suzanne and family for one night instead of a week, and Kay drove to Oregon to get the surgery done..... Welcome back to Oregon!!!   Now to get Dale rehabilitated, sell the beach house in Seaside and find a new home in the Lake Oswego??? area........
