HAWAII 2014

Mid January we left Ojai for 3 weeks in Hawaii.... one of our favorite family vacation sites for many Orthodontic meetings... and we had one to attend on the Big Island at the end of January:)  But first we spent 10 days on Oahu.  First 5 days at Kailua, across the island from Honolulu, which is known for its' lovely beach.  Had fun in the sun, enjoyed Buzz's restaurant and had a great day in Honolulu:)  We often stayed at the Hilton Hawaiian Village so had to start there viewing the penguins and then walked the Waikiki beach front all the way to the best Elks club on the waterfront near Diamond Head .... brought back so many special memories.  The top picture is at the Moana hotel and the famous banyan tree where we had the traditional first day Mai Tai;)  We then drove to the North Shore to stay in Hale'iwa... great little town near the famous Waimea beach (3rd picture) and other famous big wave surfing beaches.  Had a storm come in that closed the beaches but the real surfers were still out there;)  Loved seeing many turtles on the beaches at Hale'iwa and walking the volcanic coast!!!    Now to fly to the Big Island to meet the kids for 10 days... and Dale can attend the Orthodontic meeting:)
