JANUARY 2014, CALIFORNIA

We began 2014 celebrating New Years Eve in Ojai and spent the next 2 weeks enjoying family, friends and the area;)   Driving to Palm Springs we met Susie and Richard Wright.... friends from our Japan days and from Medford, OR..... to enjoy them, the sunshine and desert area.   Had a great happy hour at Clint Eastwood's restaurant The Hogs Breath in La Quinta:)  On the way home we drove through lots of Joshua Trees and tried to stay out of the LAX busyness:)   Most of the time we stayed in Ojai to spend time with Suzanne and family!  Had Max and Hawk for a day and rode the Trolly, went to the local pioneer museum, walked the cute downtown area and had ICE CREAM twice in one day..... we are super grandparents!!!   It has been a very special month of renting a cottage in Ojai to be close to the family and enjoy a wonderful Christmas time together;)
