Missing YOU!

We have been in Germany for 3 weeks and staying busy with: learning new procedures for EVERYTHING including PO BOX combination, cell phones, reading maps/signs on the autobahn, where are we and where are we going, how to turn off/on appliances, organizing where to ALWAYS keep your ID so you can hand it to the gate guard for the 20th time, ATM machine (Dale and I never used them at home:), remembering to take cash and bring a shopping bag to carry home our items etc. If this doesn't add a few brain cells.....

We are enjoying the new experiances while remembering past German times and know this is a wonderful opportunity. We feel so blessed to be here!!! BUT we are still missing family and the hardest is not being able to instantly pick up the phone and call: if I called the West Coast right now it is 10:30pm and would not be appreciated:)YEA for email and SKYPE and wish we had the time to do more with all the friends too!

We had a 4 day weekend with the 4th of July holiday and a "training day" that they have every month to give everyone a 4 day weekend...we could have gone to see somewhere new but we are really in to the nesting stage of trying to get ready to move into our new home. Dale spent 3 hours puting together our new bedframe (IKeA style) and we could move in BUT they have still not filled the oil tank and thus we have no hot water... the pictures above are the living room and eating nook that have the furniture left by the owner. The traditional german bench with the solid wood table and window lace curtains are a treat to have;) We'll send more pictures later.

We sure do miss everyone and do hope you will come visit us and use our extra bedroom:) Take care!!!

How cute! :) Love the pics! Keep em coming!
Kinda like starting over like you did when you first got married huh? I recall our furniture on the economy being very hard and bumpy! Not a good place to stretchout and relax! :( But, its HOME and better than a hotel! Once you get access to the whole house you will have fun decorating and doing! Miss you too! Have seen you on line a couple times but thought you might be talking to the kids and didn't want to interupt that call. Was updating my phone list and could not convine myeself to take your phone #'s off. That would mean I would have to admit you are a ocean away! :( think of you often!
