OKTOBER FEST:)

On October 1st we rode the train from Ansbach to Munchen for our first Oktober Fest:) We had beautiful, warm weather and joined all the other people for the last weekend of the Fest. Couldn't believe how large the area is for Oktober Fest with carnival rides, food booths and then the BEER TENTS... actually a building rather than a tent and since we didn't have a reservation we couldn't get in. But we got into a chicken restaurant and had our very large beer for lunch which meant we were ready for a nap at 1pm:) It was so crowded and it would get even more so as the day wore on, HELP:) We decided to walk to the Altstadt (Old Town) and enjoy the Marienplatz and farmer's Market... it was again very crowded but still fun. We took the train home early so missed all the drunks that would fill the train later:) We decided that going once was fun and unique but we really don't need to go again.... we like our smaller beer tents (real tents:) in Ansbach and Nurnberg;)
