SINSHEIM

Last Thursday(Veteran's Day) we took a one hour trip west to Sinsheim, where thre is a GREAT Museum that is HUGE and just filled with planes, cars, motorcycles, trains, planes and war/military memorabilia. You can see in the first photo one of the Concordes that they have mounted on long poles above the museum...and there is a spiral stair to take you into the tail door. You can then walk through the plane up to the cockpit and see all of the instruments etc...and they have MANY planes that you can go in as well as many that are smaller inside the museum itself(as you can see in other photos). There were also a lot of American cars and movie star stuff as well as a huge assortment of cars from other nations (especially Germany). There was a special display of Bugatti cars and Maybach Mercedes cars..new and old. This American holiday is not celebrated by the Germans, so we had the whole place to ourselves. I visited this museum in 1986, was impressed then, but now it must be at leastthree times as big. What a treat...see the next blog (remember you can click on the photos to make them larger)
