MERCEDES MUSEUM

We spent the next morning at the Mercedes Museum in Stuttgart. You can see what the building looks like....spectacular and modern like the museums for Porsche, BMW and Audi...and like them it is a spiral setup...elevator to the top and a stroll around and to the bottom..Mercedes has the histtory that the others lack since Diamler and Benz "invented" the car in the late 1800s..and they have a running historical display of photos and dialogue as you progress through the years with the cars, trucks and other vehicles Mercedes has produced. Famous for quality and innovation over the last 120 years, I was most interested in the cars from the 50s and on. They also had quite a few of the actual cars owned by famous people over the years....I discovered that Princess Di had a burgundy/beige 1990 500SL just as we did...Overall a great experience and a reminder of the great products that Mercedes has produced for so many years....then to the autobahn and home.
