FAMILY:)

My visit to Hickory, NC; Ojai, California and Colorado Springs to see the family was wonderful... as always:) Dale and I say "if our family is doing well than we are happy" and it was special to see how well everyone is doing. The parents are still engaging and enjoying life and sisters and brothers are enjoying their families and supporting the parents too. Suzanne and Erik are so busy with Max and Hawk, jobs, large yard and house projects... but do an amazing job of balancing it all! Watching them parents the boys is such a joy and the grandsons are so loved. Erik took us on a walk into the hills on a night that Suzanne had a meeting in the picture above. Suzanne is getting a new job as head of a non-profit with the school district in Ojai (no more commutes to Santa Barbara) so she will be very busy... but so much better to be closer to home and the boys! Max showed me how he rides his tricycle now and Hawk has taken over the 90 year old chair that was Granddad Lee's as a child (picture above:). Michelle and Shams came down from Portland and Max is so excited to see them... me too:) Michelle is so busy with her Clinical Nurse Leader job at the VA hospital but also traveling to other states to give inservices to other VA hospitals about the/her

program:) Shams has 2 jobs now and one is his own "start-up" on the internet:) Both are also busy with home projects, friends and ALL:) They are still raising their pup, Mowgli, and she is bringing lots of joy to their lives:) We feel so blessed to have the special family we have....
