Sevilla ( I think we Americans know it as Seville, and famous for its barber) has small walking streets (alleys) throughout that seem to run tortuous pathways alongside and between the streets for cars...it was fun to find little restaurants and discover the local foods..In the photo above you can see us at our "favorite" restaurant that was within two blocks of our hotel..(favorite because we ate dinner there twice and stopped for drinks one evening as well) I especially liked the prawns sauteed in olive oil and garlic with pasta and some cheap red wine..Kay had tapas with a local white..Of course the owner spoke no English and we spoke little Spanish, but we got the job done. During one of the days we visited the most famous bullring built originally in 1740....It still operates during "the season" and has an interesting museum with all sorts of matador stuff, old paintings and photos of famous bulls. We found it sadly interesting that any bull that kills a fighter is sacrificed...and so is the bull's mother. The other photo is from the Plaza de Espana..originally built for the 1929 World's Fair...so much ceramic tile and characteristic architecture.....
