MALTA 1
We really enjoyed our trip to Malta. It was a land of contrasts with the blue Mediterranean surrounding a honey colored limestone island; the very dense area around the capitol city of Valletta with wall to wall hotels along the coastline (picture of small fishing boats) compared to the rural farm lands with limestone rock walls around each small plot of land; driving on the left and touring either in a double decker British bus or in one of the many "historic" local buses.... and then there is the history:) We got our money with a Museum pass!!! The prehistoric sites were from 4000-5000 years ago: the best and we don't have pictures of was the Hypogeum (underground temple cut into the limestone and they only allow 80 people a day inside to protect from environmental damage!!) but the picture of the above ground slabs of stone of the Hagar Qim temple with a covering to also protect from environment gives you some idea of how it was also amazing... how did they do it;)? Thanksgiving day was spent seeing the prehistoric... and missing family:)
