GRAN CANARIA:)

Every trip we take in and throughout Europe sofar has given us exposure to beautiful and historic churches. We always enjoy them and the architecture and history that they possess has never disappointed. Grand Canary island was no different. Just as on the continent, each little village and every city has one to experience. As you can see in the center photo, this beautiful church was the showpiece in one of the little villages on the way to the interior of the island. We paused in one of the pews as we always do and let the peace of the moment sink in....this WAS Christmas eve, after all. As we descended back toward the coastline, we watched the sun as it fell into the vast Atlantic ocean. The next day we made our way back along the waterfront in Las Palmas and ended Christmas evening on the balcony at a little Italian restaurant..red wine, pasta and seafood. Magnifico! We sure miss our family at these times, but we certainly think about how wonderful our lives have been and how we would like to share our travels with them now.
