NEW YEARS EVE 2011

Without family or friends to celebrate New Year's Eve with... we left home:) One of the nicest hotels in Ansbach is a Best Western that overlooks the town, so we booked a room and paid to join their party;) The decorations and wonderful food (sushi, shrimp, roast beef and lots of pressed meats... not our favorite:) made it very festive. Finding ourselves the only Americans there and at a table with 3 other couples was a little daunting at first... but luckily they spoke enough english and Dale is so boring....of course we had a great time:) Even danced a little and enjoyed amazing fireworks at midnight. We didn't know that everyone gets their own big fireworks and they are setting them off all over Ansbach. Looked like our beach at Seaside on the 4th of July! When we walked town the next morning there was fireworks debris everywhere:) We really started the New Year off right by driving 1 1/2 hours the next day to Stuttgart so we could have Taco Bell and Dale could check out the Porsches....
