BAMBERG

In spite of a rainy first day in Bamberg, this is a delightful medieval town with the river Regnitz and the Rhine-Main Danube Canal adding to the sight of the historic 1200-1800's buildings. The views of the Monastery on the hill, the Rathaus (town hall) on a islet in the river and the 4 spires of the Cathedral of St. Peter and St. George which was completed in 1237, are very unique and special:)
