PRAGUE:)
It must be my age and stage that in Germany I have fixated on the different tile roofs of the houses, while in Prague I loved the stone sidewalks (4"X4"X3")that we walked on everywhere. Using primarily white stone but with dark stone accents, the workman ship, the age of the sidewalks and the artistic look all added to the uniqueness and beauty of Prague. Prague is a gorgeous city and the old town has LOtS of other tourists, so we learned to go early or late to churches etc and escape some of the crowds:) We went to the Mucha Museum and discovered the Czech artist (Alfons Mucha, pioneered Art Nouveau) whose work was familiar. We really enjoyed it and found out he had a stain glass window in St. Vitus's cathedral...so for the 2nd time we walked the steep hill to the castle to take more pictures:) To say we "walked our socks off" in Prague is not an exaggeration!!
Hope this finds you and yours doing well!! Take care, Kay
