PRAGUE 3

We had a great time walking around the "old town" and seeing the sights like the pictures depict. There is a tall hill on the west side of town with a small version of the Eifel Tower from which we took the first picture of the Prague Palace and the St Vitus Cathedral. It was a smaller Notre Dame but with most of the visual and structural similarities. We actually visited it on both days to be able to soak it in completely. Across the river and on the old town square we visited the Tyn Church with its twin spires,numerous statues and towers (and a lot of tourists) and the third photo is the inside of yet another church, St Nicholas in all of its baroque spendor. Mozart played the church organ here when he visited Prague..all in all this is a VERY old city with dates from the early 1000's to many in the 1300-1500 era(s). Weather was beautiful and the hotel was very nice with an excellent breakfast. We ate our dinners late in little streetside restaurants at outside tables and loved it..one night Italian, one night Mexican! and one night Czech...you can double click on the pictures to enlarge them and you can go to previous blogs to see more on our trip to Prague..hope all is well.
