CHRISTMAS MARKETS

We have so enjoyed the Christmas Markets....why don't we remember them from the 60's when we were in Wiesbaden??? Our town of Ansbach has a small Christmas market but with snow on the ground, American Christmas songs playing on the loud speakers, Gluh Wein and Bratwurst....we are enjoying it the most:) We have traveled to Augsburg which had an Angel performance in the Rat Haus (City Hall) and LOTS of booths; Strasbourg, France with half-timbered houses on the river/canal and LOTS of people and still plan on seeing Nurnburg which is the most famous:) The handmade ornaments from wood, straw and all the different crafts are a real treat!! We've always wanted the wooden pyramid with the candles that make the propeller turn on the top and now we have bought one where they are made....Germany:)
